Move healthcare datawithout the middleman.
OpenShare is the free, anything-to-anything gateway: move HL7, FHIR and DICOM organization-to-organization on your own server. No per-study fees, no cloud copy, and we never see your PHI.
From the makers of mirthsync
We live in Mirth and OIE every day.
OpenShare is built by Saga IT, a healthcare-integration team with hundreds of completed projects. We created mirthsync, the open-source tool the Mirth community uses to version-control and sync channels, and we’re active contributors to the Open Integration Engine, the community fork that carries Mirth Connect forward.
So OpenShare isn’t a cloud vendor bolting onto healthcare from the outside. It’s built by people who live in Mirth and OIE every day, for the teams who run them.
Six reasons teams choose OpenShare.
Free to run, honest about data, and built on open foundations.
It’s free
Console, Gateway, monitoring, drivers and in-browser DICOM viewing, free forever. You only pay a membership when you want to join the network and exchange with other organizations.
See pricing →One plugin, one OIE server
Not a suite of separate products, a single experience layer for Mirth Connect and OIE. Install one plugin and get the control plane and the exchange network together.
How it installs →OpenShare never sees your PHI
Every connection is end-to-end encrypted, our relay brokers the link but can’t decrypt it. Turn off TURN for a direct-only path, or run a server-side PHI-free mode so PHI never leaves your server at all.
Our security model →Direct, no cloud copy
Exchange images and data directly, gateway-to-gateway, between organizations. No central cloud, no per-study fees, no copy of your data sitting on someone else’s servers.
vs cloud image exchange →Fork-agnostic
Works with Mirth Connect, OIE, BridgeLink, or any compatible fork, same plugin, same install, no migration required.
Migrate from Mirth →Built on open source
OpenShare is built on the open-source Open Integration Engine, the community fork of Mirth Connect. Open foundation, no lock-in.

Not another cloud middleman.
Cloud image networks (PowerShare, Ambra…) meter your data and copy it onto their servers. OpenShare moves it directly between organizations, nothing in the middle.
- $500 per server, per month, 2.5 GB included, then $0.25/GB, never per study
- Direct exchange, on-premise, no cloud copy
- Runs on your own Mirth / OIE server
- Built on open-source OIE, no lock-in
Zero-PHI by design
We never see your PHI.
Every connection is end-to-end encrypted. Our relay brokers the link and cannot read what crosses it. And you control the relay.
- Can’t decrypt it: traffic stays encrypted end to end, so the relay has nothing it can read.
- Switch off the relay: disable TURN for a direct-only path.
- PHI-free dashboard: metadata only; zero PHI leaves your server.
